POLICIES

ALL CHILDREN WHO ATTEND CLASS MUST BE REGISTERED ONLINE

Any child who attends class MUST be registered in order for them to have a seat in class -- either as a Full Semester student or as a Drop-In student. This includes baby siblings, older siblings (up to 6 years) on school holidays, out-of-town guests (ages birth-5 years). This is to keep class sizes at optimal learning levels and for your child's safety.

INFANT SIBLINGS ARE FREE!

Infants 10 months and under are free when attending with a registered sibling for the full semester. Please register Baby Siblings under 10 months at checkout to reserve space for them in the semester (you will not be charged).

ENROLLMENT CONFIRMATIONS

Enrollment confirmations will be sent via email within 48 hours of our receiving your payment. If you do not receive an enrollment confirmation within 48 hours of submitting your registration online, please contact us to confirm that we have received it:  Please note, if you have chosen to pay by cash or check, your confirmation will not be sent until we receive your payment.

MAKE-UP CLASSES

Makeup classes are scheduled using our online Make-Up Scheduler under the ENROLLED FAMILIES tab. They can be scheduled any time after the second week of classes. Any scheduled Make-Up Class that you cannot attend must be cancelled (on the online Scheduler) in order to be rescheduled to a later date. All Make-ups must be done during the current semester your child is registered. Make-ups MAY NOT be carried over to the next semester. Please do not wait until the last few weeks of the semester to schedule your makeups as there are a limited number of seats. Please be aware that we do not guarantee that the listed teacher of the class will be there the day you are scheduled. A sub may fill in when needed.

If you cannot make it to your enrolled class, please cancel ASAP in the enrolled families tab so that another family can take your spot!

REFUND POLICY

No tuition refunds are given after materials are distributed during the first week of classes, although credit toward future classes may be issued in exceptional circumstances. $50 Material & Enrollment fee is non-refundable after first class of the session.

CLASS CANCELLATIONS

We reserve the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment. Every effort will be made to make these decisions as early as possible, however cancellations may take place up until the third week of classes. In this case, all registered families will be notified and given the option of another class. Please note: when you create your account, you must "opt-in" to all email communication in order to receive email notifications about class dates, policies, and cancellations.

SNACKS, TOYS, NURSING, WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS

Please do not bring snacks and toys to class. They are very distracting and can cause unnecessary conflicts between the children. Many of the buildings where we hold classes do not allow food in the space. We also want to protect any children who may have food allergies. Please only spill-proof cups are allowed in class spaces.

Nursing is ALWAYS welcome at any time during class.  Always tend to your child's needs as a priority and never feel that you need to leave the room to nurse your little one.  Always do what feels best and most comfortable for you.

PLEASE bring AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE to class each week.  We try to keep the classroom space as clear as possible for safety when up and moving and as distraction-free as possible.

PHOTOS and VIDEOS

Please limit taking photos and videos during class.  It is very distracting for the children and the adults to be engaged in photo-taking rather than music-making. Whenever a photo or video is taken, please ensure your child is the only child being photographed. We need to respect the privacy of all the families involved in the program, as many families have requested that their children not be photographed during class.

ILLNESS

Please do not bring your child to class sick.  If your child has a fever or contagious symptoms of any kind, please arrange to make-up the class.

TAKE-HOME MATERIALS

Continued music-making at home is essential to your child's musical growth. To support this, we provide each family in our program with a beautifully illustrated songbook and digital download of the semester's music, parent guide, musical growth chart and support materials.

SECOND CHOICE CLASSES

We recommend choosing a "Second Choice Class" at checkout in the event your desired class is full or cancelled. If you are unable to attend any other class, please select any class in this field and include specific information about your needs in the ORDER COMMENT section during your checkout process.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

We follow inclement weather reports closely, especially during hurricane season. Our first priority is the safety of our families and teachers.  There may be times classes are cancelled due to inclement weather.  You will ALWAYS receive a direct communication anytime this occurs.  Should we have to cancel a class due to weather we will extend our semester to makeup the missed week of class.  It is important to note we do NOT follow public school closures.  Many public schools in our area act as shelters and have many other moving pieces that affect the decision to close that do not affect us.  Please note: when you create your account, you must "opt-in" to all email communication in order to receive email notifications about class dates, policies, and cancellations.
